A DWC volunteer trip is usually one to four weeks in length. Volunteers roll up their sleeves and work on a community development project that doesn’t require special skills, just a lot of heart and willingness to help.
Most projects are located in rural areas where you will get to see how villagers live. We make sure your accommodations are clean and comfortable and that your meals are hygienically prepared. While you can expect to work hard, there is also ample time for rest, reflection, exploration and play while expanding your world view.
Many volunteers opt to add more tourist-oriented travel to their trip after they’ve done their volunteering. After all, if you’re going to go all the way to India, don’t you want to see the Taj Mahal?
