Sometimes the best learning happens outside of a classroom. Participating on a volunteer project with DWC will allow you to experience the world and help transform a community through participating on a development project.
Youth and University Trips are designed to take you off the beaten track. Experience a new culture and make memories to last a lifetime.
Typical trips are one to two weeks long. Volunteers will often add an additional week to explore the country, learn how to surf, climb a mountain or study the local language The timing of the project can be customized to the needs of the team. While summer break is a popular time for Youth and University trips, they can be planned for any time of the year.
Group sizes can vary from eight to 20 people, ranging in ages of 17 to 30 year’s old. DWC will work with team leaders and volunteers to plan a project that meets the unique makeup of the team.
Please note that all our group volunteer programs can be tailor-made to meet the requirements of various international curriculum.
Teams may construct a rural classroom, support a conservation project, or build a struggling mom a home. Projects are based on real needs in our host communities, designed with DWC’s field partners. Volunteers will gain incredible insights into our host community and return home with a new perspective.
